About Us

Guadalupe Custom Strings was founded in 1991 by Francisco Gonzales, an established harpist, multi-instrumentalist and composer from East Los Angeles.  After many years of frustration with mediocre quality commercial strings, Francisco began his mission to design and manufacture strings that were as high in quality as the musicians who played them.

Our strings are made with the finest materials available and with a knowledge and sincere respect for the music, the musician and the instrument.  Our proprietary formulae for our custom designed strings have been painstakingly developed over the last 17 years by working closely with professional musicians around the world.

Our Strings are handmade in East Los Angeles, one at a time, by dedicated artisans who are also musicians. We are proud to continue this tradition and to supply some of the greatest musicians in the world with professional-quality hand-made strings.
